What is Phantom Chat AI?
Phantom Chat AI is an AI chat workspace built directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro, giving editors access to AI models like Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, NanoBanana, and other image models and more without leaving their editing workflow.
Unlike traditional AI chat tools, Phantom Chat AI is connected directly to your Premiere Pro sequence and transcript. Users can search their timeline using natural language and receive clickable results that jump directly to exact moments in the sequence. For example, you can ask:
- “Find me clips under 1 minute”
- “Find every section where the speaker mentions sponsorships”
- “Locate the funniest moments in this interview”
- “Generate an SEO optimized YouTube description”
Instead of manually searching through timelines or copying transcripts into external AI tools, Phantom Chat AI keeps everything inside Premiere Pro. Search results become interactive timeline references that editors can immediately navigate to with a single click.
Phantom Chat AI also supports AI image generation directly inside Premiere Pro using models like NanoBanana and GPT Image 2. Generated images can be imported into Premiere instantly without downloading files, switching tabs, or manually organizing assets into folders.

- Gemini 3 series model support (Gemini 3.5 Flash, Gemini 3.0 Flash, Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite)
- Added Language support (beta) with 49+ languages you can choose from
- New Button Jump from playhead button: Used to jump to the correct section in the Transcript Window from your sequence.
Bug fixes
- Silence sections sometimes overlapping and not being removed correctly
- Can switch components while a job is running without breaking the workflow

- New Mute Tracks Toggle (Beta): When toggled on, disables the audio from the inactive speaker
