Transition Assistant Interface

Apply Transitions to all your clips in a single click!

Manually dragging and dropping transitions onto dozens of clips is tedious. Transition Assistant automates this process, saving you hours on large projects.

  1. 1Select all the clips you want to affect by dragging your mouse across them in the timeline.
  2. 2In the ‘Transition Assistant’ panel, type the name of the default Premiere Pro transition you want to apply (e.g., 'Cross Dissolve'). Note: This currently works with default transitions only.
  3. 3Adjust the settings: Choose placement (Front/End of Clip) and Duration (Frames or %).
  4. 4Press ‘Apply Transition’ to instantly add the effect to every selected clip.

Remove all transitions.

Changed your mind? Need a clean cut? Remove all transitions from a selection in a single click without having to select each edit point individually.

  1. 1Select the clips containing transitions.
  2. 2Choose which transitions to remove: Front, Back, or Both ends of the clips.
  3. 3Click ‘Remove Transition’ to clean up your timeline.

Offset every clip with ‘Scatter’

Applying transitions in Premiere Pro isn't always as straightforward as it seems. We created the Scatter function to give you absolute control over your edits.

The Limitation

If you apply a ‘default transition’ between clips on the same track, Premiere automatically cross-fades them. This can be messy if you want a clean cut or a specific transition style that doesn't blend frames.

Default transition cross-fade issue

The Scatter Solution

The ‘Scatter’ Function offsets every other selected clip by 1 track. This checkerboard separation prevents transitions from overlapping or reversing, giving you cleaner control and preventing unwanted cross-fades.
